I am kannusamy from Madurai Tamilnadu.  My first posting in our Bank is  Dharwad in 1985.  On my first day when I arrived tne branch by 9 a m Mr B N Shenoy was opening the br.  I informed I was to join in our Bank.  On hearing my name he started to talk in Tamil. That was/is  first impression, the best impression. My knowledge in Kannada was "learn Kannada in 30 days" Only.  When I gave SB opening form and cash via cash cabin side tray to Ms Shaila Shetty, cashier she hold me "olege banni".  I presumed olege means " Outside "n she may be a strict one. So I came outside and stood in a q and then submitted the form.  First she received the form and verified form  as a customer.  When she came to know me, staff she told me sir I asked you to come inside the cabin.  I told my understanding was like that and you accept cash.she informed  I would not accept cash until u r in cabin.  What a great n nice manner. Kudos to Ms Shaila.The second impression.  Also a good one. Evening use to play carrom n chess.  Zulfi ,Dutt and Mohan Bhat Srinivas S A Prabhu Nadgir Hosamani Sudir coordinated the tournament to celebrate Independence Day I got the momentos in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Those were lovely days. As some of them bachelors we used to play carrom chess upto 8 p m. A time passing. Also good impression. After my marriage in July 1987 I requested a transfer in Dec 87 I got the tr order to Salem on Sangranti  day 1988. Yes. Within a month Also best impression. Zulfi a family man spared more time with us. Special thanks to him. My opinion is even though there were 25 -30 staff in a br  we all well connected /coordinated without any problem. Now only 5-10 people in a br they could not go smooth.  Old is gold.  Ever cherish those moments.
